My night at home!

Tonight is my 1st full day/night at home since our vacation to Hawaii. I will work on getting those pictures up there but I am going to show you a little of my home life. I love my life. I have an amazing little girl who loves to play. A wonderful husband who spends all this time with her. Two dogs and a goofy cat. We spend our nights hanging out playing games, chasing the animals around the house and then we crash! Funny how our nights happen so quick!
Tonight Josh called to chat to our good friends the Keegans. When we found that they were in the DQ drive through we suprisingly got blizzards!! Thank you Kody and Becca! Glad we got to see you guys even for a short while. Here are a few pictures of a our night together!

~Sledding in to 2010~

After a wonderful time with friends to ring in the New Year last night we all loaded up the kiddo's and headed to McKay saddle for a little sledding and snow play. There were a total of 13 kids running around in the snow and having a great time. It's funny to me that when you hear kids having that much fun it can put a smile of your face like nothing else. The oldest kid was about 10 and the youngest ones were a little over a year. They all played so good together; we are so blessed to have this many friends with kids who love to do outdoor stuff too. Our kids will always be friends I am sure!
Cole pulling Kaiden and Bailee. He is a great big brother!

Bailee wanted to sled like the big kids.

Kaiden and Parys had so much fun together!

This is us! This is what we do, being together, making memories for a life time and loving the life God has given us! We are so blessed!!!
2010 bring it on!

Rest in Peace~

Thursday afternoon when I woke up from a restless day of sleep. I got dressed and drove to the vet in Terrebonne to see how Poachie was doing. On the way there I called my grandma and she told me that this morning Poachie didn't look good so Kaiden had said her good bye's and unless he got better she didn't need to go and see him anymore because she was so heart broke. When I got to the vet he was beeing held by Ann. Ann had been working with him the whole week he was there and was very attached to him. He was very weak and could not hold up his head. He flipped his tail when I said his name but he was to weak to respond. I held him for about 45 min talking to him and telling him how much we loved him and needed him to come home. I said a prayer for him to get the strength and come home soon.  We helped him eat and drink but he was unable to hold it down. Ann said that he was a fighter but it was still touch and go if he was going to pull through. I had to go back to work so I said that I loved him and good bye. I drove to my grandmas house which is just down the street and when I got to her house my phone rang. Poachie and laid down closed his sweet brown eyes and passed away. Ann said he had just waited for us all to  say good bye. I cried, but more than anything telling my baby girl that her best friend was no longer with us; that was painful. Watching her big eyes swell up with tears was heart breaking. She asked why, and I didn't have a great answer. I said that he was not sick anymore and that he was in heaven healthy and happy. She asked if he was in "heaven with uncle". I said yes and she smiled and said "uncle will like him." We drove up to the vet to find Ann crying. She gave us hugs and said how sorry she was. She then let us see him. We said a prayer and she placed him in a small white box. As we were leaving Kaiden said she wanted to carry him. She carried him to the car and held him the whole way home. We colored his box with crayons and wrote messages on it. Kaiden wrote his name and her name and then colored a heart. Josh made a cross and Kaiden said good bye. What a hard lesson for a 3 1/2 year old little girl to learn. She is so strong though! So after only 3 short months here on earth Poachie Tolman left us. He was so sweet and we hope that she can find another puppy some day to love her like he did. We love you Poachie.

Praying~

Well this weekend has been one full of sorrows and is in need of many prayers. We got news Friday afternoon that a good close friend of ours passed away Friday morning. I am not sure that I understand why these thing happen or that I can always believe that there is a reason for these things and we just need to trust in God. I do trust and I know God will be with the family through this but it just isn't fair. Tami was only in her 30's and she had a 7 mo. old baby boy! I have known Matt much longer than I had known Tami but to see Matt as happy as he was when he was with her was amazing. Matt and Tami were together through a lot in their short time together but being together gave them strength beyond comparison! Baby Dilon was a blessing to them both in many ways! As friends we can only make sure that he knows what a wonderful Mother she was and how much she loved him! For Matt we are here for anything he needs but we know that is nothing compaired to having his wife here with him. Please keep them in your thought as the holidays come this year. Give your spouse an extra kiss today and hold your babies closer! You never know when you won't get to do it again!!

So friday night Josh and I took a night and went to Ka Nee Tah resort in Warm Springs for the hospital Christmas party. It was a wonderful time! Kaiden and Poachie went to see my grandma for the night. Saturday morning we got a call from my grandma and Poachie was very sick and she had taken him to the vet.  The vet had started an IV and he had diagnosed him with Parvo! Where would he get that? How? I was confused and angry! More than anything I was sorry for Kaiden. She didn't understand why her little puppy was so sick and why he had to stay at the vet and couldn't come home with her. Well it's now Monday and he has made it through the weekend but yesterday they called and said they were thinking he wasn't going to make it! I was so sad and poor Kaiden has been crying all weekend for her little puppy! He is getting better but still has a long ways to go before we can bring him home. I have been cleaning like crazy with bleach all over my house and spraying the yard to keep him safe when he does get to come home!! Crazy animals!!

Friends for Ever~

On sunday I was very tired and not looking forward to leaving my family for a night at work after a great church servie and a lazy afternoon. So before work I wanted to grab a little nap but of course Miss Kaiden didn't want to nap, she had games to play, a puppy to play with, and a mess to make :) Well as I as getting ready for work, lunch packed, uniform on, all that good stuff. I come out of my bedroom to find Kaiden sacked out on the couch with Orea at her side and the cutest little puppy alseep on hre shoulder. It was so cute. They have ony been together for one week and they are attached at the hip. Poachie knows who he belongs to and he goes everywhere she goes. Though he wasn't planned he is a great addition to our clan.

Poachie

So friday night Kaiden wanted to stay to with her Nams for the night. So Josh and I took the night and went to the Rodeo and then out with friends for a night of adult fun. We had a great time together and it was much needed we came to find out. Well so Saturday morning we drove over to Terrebonne to get Kaiden from my grandma's and to our complete suprise we found that Kaiden had a new pet. So now we have a family that consisit of a yellow lab Marley, a catahoula Kenai, a cat Oreo, and a long hair chihuahua that Kaiden insisted was named Poachie. My grandma thought that Kaiden would love a "little" dog to have as her own. Got to love great grandparents...... So here is a picture of the new member of our family.

A little Cabin Time~

So this year Josh, Tyler, Kaiden and myself decided to spend the week of second elk season with my grandparents at their cabin's in the mountains. Kaiden and Josh and Tyler stayed all week but I had to come back and work for a couple days. When we first got there it was chilly but no snow. When we left there was a foot of snow and it was still coming down. Kaiden had blast with the family in the cabin and loved the snow!

Kaiden did her part to help cook! She had so much fun in the kitchen with Monka! She helped cut potato's, make pancakes, season meat, pretty much what ever we were having Kaiden helped!!
When she wasn't cooking she was sleding down the mountain with 'Nam's', Monka, Ty Ty, Daddy, Mommy, anyone who would chance a ride down the hill. She loved it and guess what.... So did we!
This is where my grandparents call home all summer long. They go up there as soon as the snow melts enough to get in and they come down when the snow was almost to deep to get out. What a wonderland! I hope to retire someday!

Now you don't see a four generation women snow angle!! lol Okay so we are crazy but together we have the best time!
My grandman, my mom, Kaiden and myself with our snowman. Kaiden had so much playing in the now with the family. After we got all cold we started a fire and warmed up.

When all the snow playing is done and the hunting is finished there is only one thing that a large hunting group can do..... Play a game of candy land!! Kaiden can get anyone to do what she wants and when she asks a group of HUNTERS to play a game of candy land; they will! All in all we had a wonderful time with family and there are many memories that we will always have!
