Halloween~

For Halloween this year Kaiden was the cutest Jester I have ever seen! She loved the face paint, the bright colored costume, everything except the trick or treating part. Kaiden didn't want to go house to house or really do a whole lot at the cirus that our church puts on. So we called it an early night and went home!!! here are a few pics of our night.

Just a fun night at work.

Tonight at work has been filled with interesting events. From crazy patient stories, urgent cases, and funny doctor stories. Let me just say that working with friends make 12 hours shift totally workable. Anita, Cecilia, Meggen, Casey, Vicki, Allison, Katie, Marjean..... I love working with you all.

Peaches!

Okay so I just realized that this was never published and was in the Draft stage so I thought since I had done all the work to download the pictures I would publish this. I know that it is late but hey better than never right! The sad part of this story is that we never got back to get pears or apples :( But we know that we want to get more done for sure next year!

So this year I wanted to be a little bit more of a home maker than I had ever been. So I got online and read all about how to can fruit and veggies and all sorts of other stuff. So my Bestie Becca and I took a day trip to Kimberly Oregon and picked peaches all day with the kids. Then came home and spent all day in the kitchen making wonderful peaches. I was so proud of us! We canned just over 100 lbs of peaches and had every jar seal on our first try!! Anyway I am excited to go and get pears, apples, green beans, and more peaches in the next week and get more homemade goodies in the pantry. I am also going to take a stab at chili and salsa and maybe stew if I have time!
The peaches sat for a couple days to get completely rip and then we went to canning!

What a weekend!

So this weekend we took a family trip to the coast to celebrate our 4 year anniversary. We haven't gotten away just us in a while so we made it a family trip which was awsome! The beach was wonderful! I am not sure if I have ever seen Kaiden has so much fun; she thought the sand was the coolest thing ever! We built sand castles, buried each other, played case, flew kites, and looked for star fish and other sea creatures in the rocks when the tide went out. We were lucky to go at this time of the year because the whales where very close to the shore and easy to see. We took a whale watching trip out of Depoe Bay and say lots of whales close up. Kaiden thought those were pretty cool. One of the coolest things that happened was that Kaiden and I found a glass globe on the beach!! It is purple and white and very cool I was very very excited! On our way home we came through portland and took Kaiden to the cirus. I have never been to the circus so I was just as excited as she was to be there. It was a cool show and fun to see Kaiden speachless for most of the show. :)Here are a couple pics from our weekend. I hope everyone had a great weekend too!

Four Years Ago~

So four years ago today I vowed in front of God, family, and friends to love my soul mate forever. Crazy because I thought I loved him so much then and everyday I find out that I love him more than the day before!

Just a fishin'

One of Josh's favorite things to do is to go fish small creeks and rivers. Places where you just wade up the river/creek and fish as you go. I was never big into fishing until I met Josh and now I find it really enjoyable! So while we were hunting on opening weekend Josh, Kaiden and I fished during the heat of the day while waiting for the evening hunt. Kaiden really got into it. She learned how to cast her own pole and everything. She was so fun to watch. The creek had multiple beaver dams through out which were cool to see. We waded through the pools for a couple hours. Here are a few of our pic from the fun afternoon together.

Kaiden and I fishing in the large beaver dam hole. The water felt great and the time together was priceless.Josh was wading waist deep getting Kaiden a fish to reel in. She was so happy when she would reel up a fish!Just another one of her catches! She would yell out "I win" when she would get the fish out of the water.Kaiden and I wading through the creek. We had so much fun. We didn't want to stop except it was getting into evening and it was time to go hunting again :)

Okay so the other day I was shooting my bow to get all ready for the season. I was close on multiple shots but I was dead center with this one and I was way happy! 30 yards away and I hit it in the black! Now if I can get a Buck or Bull within that range I am golden! I am going to be going hunting with some friends and Josh and Kaiden throughout the season and hope that we can get into them this year. I have never been successful with my bow, this is only my second year hunting with it but still it's time to make it work!

I love this pic! Kaiden and I; she is my hunting partner that's for sure. Most go hunting alone but for Josh and I family hunting is what is important to us. We were raised that way and that's how we are going raise Kaiden!
